7 card poker is one of the popular forms of poker. Though the game is not very difficult to learn but it takes a lot of time to master the different strategies. Bluffing is an important part in any poker game. In order to carry out a bluff successfully you have to have a good idea about the kinds of hands the opponents are holding. Bluffing is very risky and unpredictable; if carried out successfully it can lead to huge wins and give an adrenaline boost to the player but if it fails then it can lead to considerable losses and embarrassments.

In a game of 7 card poker it is comparatively difficult to bluff because of the number of faced up or exposed cards. This gives the other players a good idea about the kind of hand a player can have. There are two kinds of bluffs- a semi bluff and a pure bluff. While the semi bluff involves lesser risks and is commonly carried out, the pure bluff can be extremely risky.

An important aspect when bluffing is being hard to read. You should not give out any signs of nervousness and other actions which can give the opponents the feel that you are bluffing. Be calm and confident without giving out any clues with your gestures and actions. You should also concentrate and lookout for any signs of weaknesses in the other players. If any situation arises where the opponent is uncomfortable or nervous you can put pressure on them which can lead them to fold. Bluffing, when folding, seems to be more lucrative.

A good player never reveals his bluff. Even if the bluff has been successful do not let the other players see your cards; let them wonder about the cards that you have been holding. If the see the cards and sees that they were of not much strength, there are chances that they may not fall for you bluff the next time, which can prove to be costly. Another point of consideration while bluffing is to see what kind of a player you are bluffing against. If it is a poor or inexperienced player then he can call your play because of the inability to fold. This can prove very risky especially incase of pure bluffs.

Last but not the least keep in mind the kind of poker you are playing because in the different kinds of poker the opponents have different degrees of information about the kind of hand you are holding.
